AMA Rejects Request For New Hem/Onc CPT Codes

If you're a medical oncologist/hematologist we need your help. We believe the current drug pricing methodology for chemotherapy and other related drugs is terribly flawed. It is driving practices out of business and putting patient care at risk. Oncology Drug Rebates and Bundling Practices: Are They Really Helping Anyone?

As you are aware, there is an urgent need in the oncology community to stop the practices of drug rebates and bundling. Instead, we need to concentrate on reducing the cost of the drugs. Too many small practices are being either forced to close, or seek alternative solutions to increase their incomes. Ethical questions also arise as to whether patients are receiving the best drugs for their treatments.
